Guest Preacher August 18th
The Rev. Allison Read
Allison has been the Chaplain at Trinity College in Connecticut since 2008. She oversees all spiritual and religious programs at the school, leads Chapel worship, and encourages Christian community life on campus.
While she is passionate about fostering the spiritual formation of college students, Allison balances her support of their serious religious inquiries with injections of liveliness and fun.
Allison was ordained an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of New York in 2003. She started her ordained career by serving as a Lilly Fellow at St. James’ Episcopal Church in Manhattan and then as Assistant Rector and Priest-in-Charge at Christ Church in Short Hills, New Jersey.
Allison earned a Master’s of Divinity from Yale Divinity School where she was awarded the John A. Wade Prize for expository preaching. She also holds a diploma in Anglican Studies from the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, a Master’s in Religion from Yale Divinity School, and a Bachelor’s from the University of Virginia.
We look forward to welcoming Allison, her husband, James, and their teenage son, Jamie, to St. Ann’s!
