Weddings

We welcome couples from all faith traditions to be married at St. Ann’s provided that at least one person in the couple is baptized. Couples can choose to hold the ceremony at the outside Seaside Chapel – which can accommodate up to 300 people – or inside the Stone Chapel – which seats 200 comfortably.

The Episcopal chaplain officiates at all weddings and is happy to include other clergy with whom couples have a special relationship. A marriage liturgy authorized by the Episcopal Church is used, and the chaplain works with each couple to create a personal, meaningful and joyful ceremony.

Couples meet with the chaplain at St. Ann’s when possible (between June and the end of September), and at least once via Zoom beginning in February to establish a personal relationship, and to discuss marriage and the wedding ceremony itself.

Weddings are held on Saturdays. On days when two weddings are held, the ceremonies are separated by a minimum of three hours, usually at at 1 PM and 4 PM. The property is closed to the public for weddings so the couple and their guests can enjoy a private celebration.

Here are some important details about weddings at St. Ann’s:

The chapels are available for wedding ceremonies only after St. Ann’s opens in mid-June until it closes on the last Sunday in September.

We do not host wedding receptions on the grounds, and we ask couples and their guests not to bring alcoholic beverages onto the property.

The Episcopal Church welcomes couples or individuals who are divorced with the requirement that couples receive special counsel with a priest at an Episcopal parish where they live. The chaplain is happy to discuss this process in greater depth.
